We are a Trondheim-based tech startup on an ambitious growth journey. To ensure we are successful we need to continue to build a stellar team. We are excited to have reached a phase where we see the need to bring on a business minded Controller that is motivated to add value from day one and to develop into a larger role as the company scales.

You and UBIQ

As the first finance person on the team you will run our financial operations. You will also work closely with our CEO Kim to develop and implement financial infrastructure and strategies that will ensure the business' sustainability and growth. This is a hands-on role so you need to have all the financial knowledge in place while also understanding how a business operates and how you can add value to the bigger picture.

Our ideal candidate will thrive in a startup environment with all the ambiguity and messiness that comes with it. As we grow and evolve, you should be comfortable adapting to the changing needs related to finance and you enjoy the practical and flexible approach that is needed in a startup. Below we have listed some of the responsibilities we see for this role. That said, we are open to tailor the role for the right person.

Your responsibilities will include

• Running financial operations.

• Building our financial infrastructure.

• Developing annual financial plans and budgets.

• Financial and operational reporting and audits.

• Optimizing the use of funds and managing cash flow.

• Forecasting financial performance and creating financial models.

• Conducting financial analyses to support decision-making and identifying areas for improvement.

• Developing relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions.

• Taking ownership of all accounting and payroll related matters, working closely with third party.

• Running our stock options program.

• Support management with financial documentation for corporate governance.

Your background, knowledge and traits

• A degree in business administration or finance.

• Some years of hands on and relevant experience from operational roles in a well established finance function.

• Strong business acumen.

• Excellent analytical problem-solving skills.

• Pragmatic and solution oriented.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust based relationships.
